After the attacks on September 11, 2001, trial lawyers pledged to do what they do best – give voice to the voiceless. They promised to provide free legal services to any family wishing to seek help through a newly created federal fund. Trial Lawyers Care was the non-profit organization that made those free legal services possible.
- More than 1,100 lawyers volunteered from every state, six Canadian Provinces, as well as England, Mexico, and Australia.
- Trial Lawyers Care counseled 4,000 families, helping those from 35 states and 11 countries.
- Trial Lawyers Care lawyers provided pro bono representation to more than 1,700 families who applied for federal financial help.
- Lawyers dedicated a combined total of more than 100 years of service on these cases.
